Well this story is pretty cool but tell me what i need to improve on it. What did it all mean? The dreams of a dark wolf and white stag confused Nyah. Tying to come up with an explanation she remembered that the man on the radio said something about a zoo sometime ago. She could hear the roofers across the street pounding away at the top of the little home. "I'm sure I'm just not getting enough sleep," she told herself as she straightened a wrinkle in her bed-head brown hair. Her clock said 6:00. While quietly walking to the kitchen, she put on her prized fish bone necklace and favorite white jacket. Opening the fridge to grab a granola bar, her eyes burned at the light and she closed it immediately. When she did though, she thought, no, wait she could have sworn there was something watching her in the night. Glancing at the time, she sighed and walked out the door without so much as making a sound. Ever since she turned thirteen, Nyah felt as though she was alone in her thoughts of the world and there was no one there to help her release that wild side of her. To her friends though she was not a complete greenhorn to the world around her. They just felt as though there was something about her they could not explain or contain. "Crap," breathed Nyah as the transmission cut out on her radio. While walking through the forest she always tried to elude making audible noise. She believed that it ruined the sweet pleasure of nature. There it was again. Whenever Nyah passed by this place, she always had the feeling of being watched. Not being able to shake the feeling, she continued on to Kyhle's house. Kyhle was her best friend, and she always met up with him before school. He was also the only one who knew about her reoccurring dreams. Frankly, they fascinated him. "What do you think they mean?" inquired Kyhle. "Does it ever bother you how people botch up the world and then turn around and act like they are doing so much to save it? Or how people ask questions that they know the other person has no clue what the answer is?" "For one, yes it does bother me. Two, what kind of word is botch anyway? Three, jeez you don't have to be so defensive." Nyah hugged him, ruffled his raggedy, blonde hair and walked off to a day of depression where it was Wednesday, and today was the day that she had no classes with anybody who really mattered. Today was also the day where you could say something like, "Well the day after tomorrow is Friday," or "You're halfway through the week," and it wouldn't help a bit. Once the day was over, Nyah spotted Kyhle and fake-sobbed into his hoodie, "It was awful. Mrs. I-hate-all kids-so-I'm-gonna-make-stupid-writing-assignments had the nerve to come up to me and say, 'You're little story did not fit the assignment. There was too much fantasy and creative thinking, as you call it. This was supposed to be a story about World War II and you had a kid with a pet wolf for Pete's sake.' Ugh that woman makes me so mad! Why can't she see that I'm not the kind of person who wants to believe that everything written in history books is exactly how the world is." "Because she's 'Mrs. I-hate-all kids-so-I'm-gonna-make-stupid-writing-assignments', that’s why. Well I gotta go get my hair cut. I know you like it long and so do I, but can't argue with the ruler." "Yeah well see you later if I feel like looking at you," Nyah reluctantly laughed. She kind of wanted someone to take out her stress on. As she walked home she knew her Aunt wouldn't be home until late after coming home from the Kentucky Derby today. She decided to look around the spot where that feeling always came to her. After about fifteen minutes of searching she found it. "Ha there it is. The tree and that creepy feeling that I could have done without." This time however, there was something new. A faint glimmer of light shone between two trees catching the snow that was starting to fall. It seemed odd to her that she was so intrigued by a ray of light. Well, no matter what her brain and common sense told her to do she reached for it. As she reached, the light grew brighter and the feeling grew stronger. Soon she was in a whole new place all together. It was still a forest. Aye, but different. Even though forest was peaceful, Nyah felt very vulnerable here. Soon something came near her from behind and in front. Into the clearing stepped a stag. Not any stag but the one from her dream. This one had a coat whiter than the snow itself. Each strand of hair moved elegantly as he strode near her. Each and every muscle moved as one. The horns gleamed with a sparkle that no earth creature could possess. The muzzle was set in her face as a warm breath came upon her neck. His deep amber eyes shone in the glare of snow and completely overtook Nyah. Soon another figure strode into the clearing. This time, a wolf, blacker than a moonless night. This one was slimmer but still looked as though it could posses the strength of three tigers. One side of her face though was white and blended perfectly with the stag next to her. Her colors contrasted perfectly with her stunning blue eyes. Actually everything about them was perfect. Breathless, Nyah could help but to bow down to these two magnificent creatures too wonderful to belong to her world. "Nyah," said the calming voice of the wolf next to her, "I know this is a little strange but I am Cafalla and this is Lance." "How, how did you know my name?" "Kyhle told us. Dear, we sent him to you, to watch over you. To make sure you were going to turn out ok. You've never noticed the ox outside of your window? Did you notice it was the same color as Kyhle's hair?" "Wait, but I've known Kyhle since preschool." Soon Lance joined in "Yes we know. We have known you were the one for quite sometime now. Since you were a little one we knew." "Knew what and the one for what?" "You are to rule alongside us. You belong to a world called Ownao. This place is seeing great troubles, and you need to help us. We took you away to keep you from the fighting and our greatest enemy, Kahlo. He was trying to kill off all the future rulers," the stag explained. Hurriedly he asked, "Would you like to see your true self?" "My true self?" Soon her back started to arch and she was on all fours. Her hands turned to black paws and she sprouted fur. Canines started to grow and sharpen in her mouth and her ears grew longer and pointed at the end. A pool of water was near her and she, almost too afraid to look, snuck a peak. She was a puma, yet strangely black as pitch and as large as a lion. She felt powerful and amazingly strong. "All right, so I'm a puma and you want me to help rule your world? This has to be a dream. Well, if it isn't, how am I going to just leave my family and life back home." The soothing voice of the wolf calmed her nerves, "This is not a dream and you are very brave to still be here. Your aunt knows. She, well, really isn't your aunt. She used to belong to our world, but she declined and stayed human to help others in her position. You already said you don't like your life as it is." "All right, but what do I have to do?" " Step through here and your proper training will begin with either Lance or I." With nervous expressions on everyone's face, Nyah stepped with her awesome muscles into the abyss of the forest ahead of her.
Ownao
This is a blog where I can rant, ramble, and complain about certain short people.

Great story, but it seems REALLY wierd that your character accepts right away that she is a puma and she rules in another world.
I cracked up sooooo hard when it said I am Cafalla and this is Lance. Well, actually I began to laugh and ended up having a coughing fit. *grin*
Great story though. Was this, by any chance, for that writing thing, with the needed words? Cuz I noticed the "greenhorn" and I remember Fenrir trying to fit it into his story. And if it is - it would explain the acceptance because wuuulf - you have a retarded word limit.
What happened to the Rubber Duckies?
Oh - And I LOVE your background!!!
